Best time to go to Phuket (Phuket Travel Season) http://phuketsweettravel.com/magazine/variety/best-time-to-go-to-phuket-phuket-travel-season.html http://phuketsweettravel.com/magazine/variety/best-time-to-go-to-phuket-phuket-travel-season.html Best time to go to Phuket (Phuket Travel Season)

In order to make sure our readers enjoy their trip as much as possible, in this issue we would like to inform you about the best time to come to Phuket so that you can plan your trip correctly

For tourists who are interested in taking a trip to Phuket, the first question that usually comes to their mind is, "When is the best time for me to go?" In order to make sure our readers enjoy their trip as much as possible, in this issue we would like to inform you about the best time to come to Phuket so that you can plan your trip correctly.

Phuket has two seasons, which is the rainy season and the hot season. The typical weather in Phuket is usually hot and humid. The hot season begins in November and lasts until April, and during this season the skies in Phuket are clear and cloud-free. The beaches are beautiful and perfect for visiting, that is why this season is considered the High Season time in Phuket. Many tourists arrive during this time. As for the rainy season, which begins in May and lasts until October, less tourists come to Phuket during this time and therefore it is considered as the Low Season because it is difficult to travel around the island and the skies are cloudy and are not as pleasant compared to during the High Season.

Traveling in Phuket during the High Season

- nice weather, clear beaches, calm waves

- many tourists are present, which is ideal for those who like to party and socialize

- reservation of accommodation and plane tickets must be done early

- prices can be as high as 50% or more than during the Low Season

Traveling in Phuket during the Low Season

- traveling around is difficult, unpleasant weather

- less tourists, ideal for those who like traveling quietly and having personal space

- prices are cheaper, and prices are easier to negotiate during this time

- many choices are usually available, does not require much planning beforehand

5 Ideal presents for your mom http://phuketsweettravel.com/magazine/variety/5-ideal-presents-for-your-mom.html http://phuketsweettravel.com/magazine/variety/5-ideal-presents-for-your-mom.html 5 Ideal presents for your mom

we have several ideal presents for all special moms, so if you don't know what to get her this year, try following this few tips and we guarantee that your mother will not be disappointed

Here we meet again in another issue of Phuket Sweet Travel Magazine in a month where children everywhere can show their love for their mothers on Thai Mother's Day. In this issue we have several ideal presents for all special moms, so if you don't know what to get her this year, try following this few tips and we guarantee that your mother will not be disappointed.

1. Flowers are the first present most people think of and is also the most common present on Mother's Day since flowers are beautiful just like mothers. Instead of buying typical flowers foe your mother this year, why not spend a bit more and have a florist arrange a large bouquet to show your mother how much you really love her.

2. Instead of writing your mother a card this year, try creating a message such as "I Love Mom" from cutting pictures of you and your mother and pasting them into a photo frame to create a new and impressive present.

3. Scrapbooks are a good way to show affection for your mother. Try gluing pictures of you and your mom spending time together into a notebook, and writing little captions along with the pictures such as, "I was so happy when you came to see my school's performance."

4. Gift cards are a great idea for those who cannot think of what to buy for their mom. By giving your mother a gift card, she can easily choose what she wants to buy. But don't just simply give her the gift card, make sure to accompany her shopping as well so you can have a idea what to get her next time.

5. A special meal on a special day can mean a lot. Choosing a nice restaurant and taking your mother out to dinner is a great way to spend quality time with her. Or if you've never cooked for her before, try taking some cooking lessons beforehand, and surprise her with a nice home cooked meal at home.

What to do when your sweetheart is a shopaholic? http://phuketsweettravel.com/magazine/variety/what-to-do-when-your-sweetheart-is-a-shopaholic.html http://phuketsweettravel.com/magazine/variety/what-to-do-when-your-sweetheart-is-a-shopaholic.html What to do when your sweetheart is a shopaholic?

There are many reasons and causes of why people turn into shopaholics. The first of which is that women like beauty and feel that they have to constantly keep up with beauty trends

Have you ever wondered why women love shopping? In this 12th Issue, we have already mentioned travelling and shopping, so now let’s have a look at why women just absolutely love to shop. We also have tips for men what to do when you go shopping with your sweetheart.

Causes of a shopaholic

There are many reasons and causes of why people turn into shopaholics. The first of which is that women like beauty and feel that they have to constantly keep up with beauty trends. Furthermore, women have high levels of tolerance, so they can tolerate shopping and competing with other women, as well as doing whatever they can to be attractive in the eyes of men.

Women are more heavy shoppers than men because there are more products and items that attract women, while men tend to prefer larger items that take significant time to decide whether to buy or not due to the prices. Women tend to buy smaller items more easily and frequently.

3 items that women cannot simply look over when shopping

Clothes: The main reason why women buy clothes is because they are bored with their old ones and want to try different types of clothing that aren’t the same as others’ clothing. Even if a woman’s closet is already full of clothes, she will still want more.

Accessories: Depending on the price and budget of each woman, most women tend to buy accessories only when they truly like that item and when they feel that they will be able to use the accessory in many occasions.

Cosmetics: The first reason that women buy cosmetics is because they have run out of their old ones, and the next reason is because they want to diversify their makeup techniques. Furthermore, women are also conscious of creating a good first impression, hence the expression “face comes first”. Men pay attention to women’s faces first, and that is why women rely on cosmetics to cover up imperfections and make themselves look better. Even if they haven’t run out of their old cosmetics, if a commercial comes out advertising the benefits of a particular product, a woman will want to try that product. Simply put, women tend to buy the best things for themselves whenever they have the chance and enough budget.

Things that women want men to do while shopping together

Don’t show that they’re bored. And clearly state their opinion when women ask for one, for example, “I don’t like it”, “It’s not good”, “it doesn’t match”, or “it’s ugly”. Women would prefer these types of comments rather than just a simple “it’s fine”. Men should be aware that by saying “it’s fine”, women tend to get angry. Women also feel that if you are going shopping with her, then you should help her carry her bags and, if possible, act like a girl friend (only when shopping though).

We hope that men will now be able to understand their women better and understand that shopping makes a woman happy. If you want to make her even happier, then don’t say “it’s fine”, but instead try to consider her feelings as well.

7 Ways to Prevent Global Warming http://phuketsweettravel.com/magazine/variety/7-ways-to-prevent-global-warming.html http://phuketsweettravel.com/magazine/variety/7-ways-to-prevent-global-warming.html 7 Ways to Prevent Global Warming

let’s also take a look at protecting the environment since nowadays we are faced with global warming problems. That is why we would like to tell you about seven ways to prevent global warming and care for the environment

Since in this issue we have already talked about shopping, let’s also take a look at protecting the environment since nowadays we are faced with global warming problems. That is why we would like to tell you about seven ways to prevent global warming and care for the environment.

1. Reduce: We know that using excessive natural resources carelessly can cause a lot of garbage and waste that are not biodegradable. Therefore in order to help reduce global warming, we have to change our lifestyles by reducing and changing the products in our everyday life, such as reduce the usage of plastic bag or other forms of packaging that are difficult to biodegrade.

2. Reuse: Before making up our minds on buying a certain product, try thinking about whether that product can be reused or not.  Not only will it help you save costs, but it will also reduce the usage of natural resources. We should always aim for buying reusable products or avoid buying products and packaging that can only be used once, such as using cloth bags instead of paper bags, using tablecloths instead of tissue paper, and using refillable products, etc.

3. Recycle: Products or items that cannot be reused can be recycled instead, such as glass bottles, paper, some metals, and plastic. We can also turn these items into new items by recycling them.

4. Repair: We can repair many items, and in doing so we will create a sense of attitude that repairing items is better than buying new ones. For instance, we can repair our air conditions and our cars. By repairing things, we can save on costs and as well reduce the usage of natural resources.

5. Refuse: We have to learn how to refuse products and items that harm our earth, such as plastic bags. There are also unexpected things that can harm our earth, such as imported food from faraway places. This is because transporting food from one place to another involves strict transportation and preservation process, and increases the amount of greenhouse gases in our atmosphere.

6. Return: We can give back to our Earth by planting trees to increase greenery in the world, or by conserving the amount of natural resources used. If it is necessary to use these natural resources, then we can also give back to the society and Earth by supporting activities that help preserve the environment.

7. Rethink: In order to successfully carry out the previously mentioned tips, we must first change the way we think and not give in to what the rest of the society is doing. We need to rethink our actions continuously and seriously, otherwise all the previously mentioned tips cannot be carried out.
So don’t forget to take care of our Earth by following the 7 tips above!

How to choose the right sunscreen for the beach http://phuketsweettravel.com/magazine/variety/how-to-choose-the-right-sunscreen-for-the-beach.html http://phuketsweettravel.com/magazine/variety/how-to-choose-the-right-sunscreen-for-the-beach.html How to choose the right sunscreen for the beach

Going to the beach involves a lot of sun without any form of protection, so we should always use sunscreen or sunblock that has a high SPF rate, usually from 30 to 50

We meet again in June’s Phuket Sweet Travel Magazin Issue Issue 11, and in this issue we have some useful knowledge that we’d like to share with our readers who love to travel, especially those who love to go the beach, to swim, and do outdoor activities. Travelling to Phuket involves hot weather and strong sun, therefore we should take care of ourselves and prepare ourselves properly before heading out into the sun so that we can have fun in the sun without ending up with red, peeling, or with darkened skin as a take-home souvenir.

First let’s get to know the different types and brands of creams that are out there on the market. Sun blocks have the ability to reflect UV rays, whereas sunscreens can absorb UV rays in a way that won’t harm our skin. Usually most creams have both of these characteristics. One thing that we always seen on a bottle of sunblock or sunscreen is the SPF number, which indicates how long the cream will be able to resist the sun’s rays before our skin turns red after applying it on. But this doesn’t always mean that we should look for the highest SPF number possible, because the chemicals in the cream that make this SPF number high can cause our skin to become irritated easier than creams with lower SPF numbers. That is why we should always choose an SPF number that is suitable to our needs and activities.

Going to the beach involves a lot of sun without any form of protection, so we should always use a cream that has a high SPF rate, usually from 30 to 50. If we are in the shade or if we only have to be in the sun for short periods of time, then it would be okay to choose a cream with SPF 15. However, this also depends on the type of skin that you have. Darker-skinned people can use lower SPFs than lighter-skinned people. And if you want to swim in the beach, then don’t forget to choose a waterproof sunscreen so that the cream won’t get rinsed off by the water. Waterproof qualities vary from brand to brand.

Using sunscreen correctly is very important and the sunscreen should be applied to the skin 15-30 minutes before heading out into the sun. After applied, sunscreen usually lasts around 80 minutes; therefore we should keep reapplying it every 1 to 2 hours. Aside from using sunscreen while swimming or playing on the beach, we can also protect ourselves from the sun with easy methods, such as staying the shade or using a towel, hat, and sunglasses to protect our skin and eyes. With these simple steps, we can easily protect our skin from the sun on our next trip to the beach!
